Beginning in late 2024 and continuing into early 2025, I was part of a team to refine PreK-12 Math Standards under the auspices of the National Association of Scholars .  Known as the Archimedes Standards , they offer an alternative to watered-down and sometimes politicized math standards that have crept into many state standards. My Mom turned 90 in February! I organized a small luncheon for her at her favorite local restaurant, attended by friends and family, and I wrote a special prayer for the occasion.  I had an article published explaining how universities could be sued under the federal False Claims Act for violating their obligations to abide by Title VI and Title IX. In 2024, I was shocked to discover that the state of Indiana had three minority-only (Black and Hispanic) teaching scholarships written into state law.  These were clearly a violation of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and the 14th Amendment to the US Constitution.  During the latter part of the 202...
